
Deaths caused by trachea, bronchi, or lung cancer in Spain 2000-2021, by gender
In 2021, the annual number of deaths resulting from malignant tumors of the trachea, bronchus, or lung amounted to around 22.4 thousand cases in Spain. Throughout the analyzed period, the number of deaths due to these cancer types increased and affected more men than women. In the last year depicted, men accounted for approximately 75 percent of the deaths caused by trachea, bronchi, or lung cancer in Spain, while the number of women who died due to these conditions reached about 5.6 thousand cases.
