There is a huge disparity in turnout among younger voters across the European Union. According to the a recent Eurobarometer survey, 79 percent of Austrians and Italians aged between 15 and 30 years old have voted at local, regional, national or EU level in the past three years. Young people Belgium, Ireland and Luxembourg are the least likely to have voted in elections at each level of the government in the last three years.
