Favorite barbecue grill brands among consumers in the U.S. 2017

Weber is the USA’s favorite barbecue grill brand, as of 2017, according to more than one third of U.S. consumers at the age of 18 and older, followed by Char-Broil: One in every four respondents owns a grill by this brand.

Barbecue grill ownership in the United States
In 2017, 92% of the U.S. consumers who had a barbecue within the last year stated that they own a barbecue grill. Depending, among other things, on taste and budget of the consumer, these grills can vary from small and rudimentary to big and fancy.
Various barbecue grills are available on the market but taking a closer look at which type of grill is the most popular amongst U.S. consumers, the answer would clearly be gas grills, as almost 6 in every 10 of them own a gas grill.

Grill and Barbecue sales
In 2016, the grill and barbecue sales amounted to US$1.5 billion in the United States. The majority of respondents purchased pellet grills and smokers during this period. Gas grills on the other hand, they generated negative sales growth of about -3%.
