Attitude of Russians toward Russia-Ukraine relations 2012-2020

When asked about their opinion toward the relationship of their country with Ukraine, 56 percent of Russians agreed that Russia and Ukraine should be independent yet friendly nations with open borders and no visas or customs, as of January 2020. Another 15 percent answered that Russia and Ukraine must unite into one country. To compare, only seven percent of respondents held this opinion in September 2014.
