Opinions on length parental leave for partners in the Netherlands 2019

In the Netherlands since 2019, new parents receive one week of parental leave when they are not the birth-giving parent. Few respondents taking part in this survey considered that enough. Only five percent stated they considered one week of paternity leave for partners sufficient. Nearly half of the survey participants had a preference for a paternity leave of two weeks.
