Employment in the media industry in Sweden 2008-2020, by gender
From 2016 to 2019, the number of employees in the publishing, motion picture, broadcasting and video and television production industry in Sweden increased. During this period, more men than women worked in this sector. In 2019 roughly 31.6 thousand men and 21.1 thousand women were employed in the industry, however, in 2020, the employment of women decreased in favor of men.
