Incidence of varicella 2013-2022
In 2022, there were approximately 7,780 new cases of varicella in Cuba, up from 3,920 cases reported a year earlier. This represents a decrease of nearly 52 percent compared to 2013, when the incidence of varicella amounted to around 16,140 new diagnoses. During the last year examined, the number of new cases of viral hepatitis reached 1,704 infections in the Caribbean country.
