Sports betting participation in the U.S. 2021

The federal ban on sports betting was lifted by the Supreme Court of the United States in May 2018. Since that judgment, many states have legalized sports betting. When surveyed in December 2021, 12 percent of respondents stated that they participated in sports betting at least weekly. Meanwhile, only five percent of respondents stated that they participated in sports betting at least weekly in January of that year.
