In 2019, the Ramadan period saw a 13 percent growth in sales compared to the pre-festive period before it. The Muslim holy month of Ramadan usually sees an increase in spending among Indonesian Muslims. This is driven in part by the 13th month salary or Tunjangan Hari Raya that every employee receives.
