This graph shows a breakdown of people newly diagnosed with HIV in France in 2018, by mode of transmission. That year, 56 percent of French people who where tested positive for HIV contracted the virus through heterosexual intercourse. 40 percent of new diagnoses were atrributed to men having sex with men.
