Offshore rig count in South America by contract type 2021-2023
As of February 17, 2023, the total supply of offshore rigs in South America was 39 units, of which the amount of marketed and contracted rigs was 35. Marketed and contracted reflects all marketed rigs that have a contract in place, but it does not reflect the number of rigs actually working. The utilization rate in the region was 100 percent at that time, the highest offshore rig utilization rate of any region worldwide.
