Alongside meals and traditional dishes, biscuits and cakes are also part of the French culinary heritage. Sometimes, these delicacies even gain international recognition.
Between 2014 and 2019, the value of biscuits and cakes exported by France has been steadily increasing: it went from around 701 million euros in 2014, to over one billion euros in 2019. In 2020, France exported 972 million euros worth of biscuits and cakes. Since then, the export value has been increasing once more.
