Alongside meals and traditional dishes, biscuits and cakes are also part of the French culinary heritage. Sometimes, these delicacies even gain international recognition.
Between 2014 and 2019, the volume of biscuits and cakes exported by France has been steadily increasing: it went from around 206 thousand tons in 2014, to over 290 thousand tons in 2019. In 2020, exports decreased slightly, and France recorded an export volume of 274.16 thousand tons of cakes and biscuits. Since then, exports are increasing once more.
