In 2017, 49.58 percent of Indonesian households had natural disaster simulation and training. Natural disasters are common across Indonesia as the archipelago lies on the Pacific Ring of Fire, where tectonic plates meet. However, the disaster preparedness for emergency response in Indonesia is low and not integrated into the school system yet.
