Russia was the largest supplier of wheat and meslin to Africa as of 2020, according to trade value. The continent imported Russian wheat worth over 3.5 billion U.S. dollars that year. Wheat exports to Africa from France amounted to nearly 2.2 billion U.S. dollars, while exports from Ukraine recorded a value of roughly 1.5 billion U.S. dollars.
