The share of foreign-born youth in Sweden who were not in education, employment or training (NEET) decreased from 2012 to 2022, despite a jump in the statistics in 2020 following the outbreak of COVID-19. In total the NEET-rate among foreign-born youth in Sweden fell by 5.2 percentage points over the last ten years. However, the share is still higher than among the youth born in Sweden, for whom it was 4.3 percent in 2022.
