PM2.5 emissions in Germany 1990-2020, by sector
The energy sector in Germany released approximately 51,220 metric tons of fine particulate matter (PM2.5) in 2020, of which transportation accounted for 21,490 metric tons. PM2.5 emissions from the energy sector have fallen massively since 1990. In total, PM2.5 emissions in Germany were approximately 81,000 metric tons in 2020.
