The global cruise passenger volume declined sharply in the first two years of the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic, dropping by over 80 percent compared to 2019. As forecast, the number of cruise passengers worldwide could surpass pre-pandemic figures in 2023, with the upside scenario predicting an 11 percent growth compared to the base year.
