Unemployment rate in Brazil Q2 2022, by state
The Northeastern state of Bahia was the federative unit with the largest unemployment rate in the second quarter of 2022, with 15.5 percent. Pernambuco and Sergipe followed with 13.6 and 12.7 percent. In total, 13 states had an unemployment rate above ten percent in the second quarter of 2022. Furthermore, the South of Brazil was the region with the lowest unemployment rate.
