Individuals who ordered online in Sweden 2022, by income
In 2022, Swedish consumers with more disposable income were more likely to shop online. For example, about 83 percent of consumers with the highest income purchased goods via the internet. Conversely, only 55 percent of consumers with lowest income opted for e-commerce shopping. This disparity demonstrates that income level has a direct effect on the likelihood of online shopping.
