Belgium was the largest importer of precious metal waste and scrap worldwide, with a volume of more than 123 thousand metric tons in 2022. Ranking second was Germany, with imports surpassing 100 thousand tons. Germany was also the second-largest exporter of precious metal waste and scrap that year.
