Japan: estimated number of voice actor otaku 2023

Based on a survey conducted in Japan in July 2023, the number of otaku in the voice actors and voice actresses segment was estimated at 620 thousand people. According to the same survey, otaku that were fans of voice actors and actresses on average spent around 24.8 thousand Japanese yen per year on their hobby.
