In the January 2023 ranking of the unemployment rates in the United States' larger metropolitan areas, the Miami-Fort Lauderdale-West Palm Beach, Florida had the lowest rate, at 2.3 percent. In the same period, the unemployment rate was highest in the Las Vegas-Henderson-Paradise, NV metropolitan area, and stood at 5.9 percent.
