Two-wheeler sales in India FY 2022, by type
In financial year 2022, motorcycles formed the major chunk of the two-wheeler industry in India. In that year, almost nine million motorcycles were sold in the country. Scooters and Mopeds were the two other categories. Major manufacturers include Hero MotoCorp, Honda, and Bajaj. In that year there the total sales volumes of two-wheelers in India dropped by over 11 percent.
