Biofuels consumption for transportation in France 2015-2021
Biofuels consumption for transport in France continuously increased to the peak in 2018, when the country's consumption amounted to some 3.4 million metric tons of oil equivalent. By 2020, figures decreased to the record low of the period under consideration, at roughly 2.6 million metric tons of oil equivalent, but a new increase was observed in 2021. Biodiesel accounted for the largest share, with 75 percent from the biofuels consumed in 2021.
