Japan: private IT investment market size 2025

Private investments in the Japanese information technology (IT) market were estimated at a size of 14.16 trillion Japanese yen in fiscal year 2022. Due to the replacement of existing systems, new legal requirements, such as the Electronic Book Preservation Act and a new invoice system, and ongoing digitalization, the market grew by about 610 billion yen compared to the previous year. It was expected that private IT investments would grow further and reach a value of more than 15.5 trillion yen by fiscal year 2025.
