This statistic depicts the volume of greenhouse gas emissions associated with natural gas in the United Kingdom (UK), during selected years between 1990 and 2017. Greenhouse gas emissions from natural gas increased until 2000 to 206.5 MtCO2e*, but mostly decreased over the rest of this period to 146 MtCO2e in 2015. However, 2016 saw a slight increase from the previous year.
