Area planted with coffee by region in Brazil 2023

In 2023, the Southeastern region in Brazil reported the largest area planted with coffee in the country, with around 1.7 million hectares, or approximately 89 percent of the national area planted with this commodity. The region includes the states of Minas Gerais, Espírito Santo, Rio de Janeiro and São Paulo. Coffee yield in Brazil had also grown in 2023, reaching 29.2 60-kg bags per hectare that year.
