According to an October 2019 survey of U.S. online dating users, over a third of respondents had been sent a sexually explicit message or image they did not ask for. Other negative behaviors that online dating users encountered were continued contact after they said they were not interested. Especially female users were targeted with harassment and unwanted contact.
