In France, the number of organic farms has been steadily increasing in the past years: it went from around 37 thousand in 2017 to over 57 thousand in 2021. While Occitany is the region with the highest number of organic farms, this trend can be seen across all French regions for the period.
Related to the topic is the farmland used for organic production: the region with the highest share is Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur.
