Accountability for containing fake news in Germany and Europe 2018 This statistic shows the results of a survey on who should be held accountable for containing the spread of fake news in Europe in 2018. Overall, forty five percent of respondents from across Europe indicated that journalists should be held most accountable for preventing the spread of fake news. Of the respondents in Germany, a smaller proportion of forty one percent hold the same opinion.
