Finding a flat in New York often seems to be a mission impossible without the necessary change in someone’s pockets. The only exception is if you are planning a short-term visit to the Big Apple. As in almost any other metropolis in the United States, Airbnb flats have become an often cheaper alternative to pricy hotels. However, misusing rental apartments as vacation homes further ruptures the already yawning rent gap in New York as a study by the New Yorker Bureau of Budget found.
