Findings from the 2025 Australia Accommodation Barometer reveal a clear divide in how accommodation professionals perceive AI's value. Fraud prevention and cybersecurity emerges as the standout application, with 71% of respondents viewing AI as very helpful compared to just 10% who see no value. In contrast, operational tasks such as housekeeping and maintenance scheduling face the greatest skepticism, with 37% rating AI as not helpful at all - suggesting that while AI is embraced for data-driven and security functions, its role in hands-on operations remains contested.
