Brazil: rare earth production 2015-2019

Rare earths production in Brazil has been continuously decreasing in recent years. In 2019, production in the South American country was estimated at approximately one thousand metric tons of rare-earth oxide equivalent, a decrease of nearly 55 percent in comparison to 2016. Brazil has the second largest rare earth reserves in the world, estimated at 22 million metric tons of rare-earth oxide (REO).
