Brazil: rare earth production 2015-2022
In 2022, production of rare earths in Brazil was estimated at approximately 80 metric tons of rare-earth oxide equivalent, down from 500 tons a year earlier. Rare earths production in the South American country decreased significantly between 2016 and 2022. Brazil has the third largest rare earth reserves in the world, estimated at 21 million metric tons of rare-earth oxide (REO).
