Distribution of SVT and TV4 news content in Sweden 2018, by topic

In 2018, the Swedish TV channels of SVT (Sveriges Television) and TV4 had a fairly similar distribution of news content on topics such as lifestyle, economy, and environment. However, when it came to political topics, 20 percent of the SVT news coverage related to this issue. In comparison, 15 percent of the news coverage on TV4 was dedicated to sports. Both TV channels covered little news on media issues at one percent each.
