The highest value of merger and acquisition (M&A) deals in Central and Eastern Europe (CEE) in 2023 was recorded in the energy and utilities sector, at over six billion euros. The telecommunications sector followed, as M&A deals in that industry were worth nearly five billion euros in the same year.
