The number of turkeys worldwide has increased for some time since 2000. In 2017, there were nearly 462 million turkeys in the world, up from around 469 thousand in 2002. However, in the last several years, the number of turkeys has decreased again, averaging around 450.8 million in 2019 and 2020.
