Share of tennis clubs globally 2017, by country
In October 2019, the International Tennis Federation (ITF) published its first global report on tennis, based on data collected in 195 nations. The publication, analyzing figures from 2017, stated that there were about 71 thousand tennis clubs globally. As of the survey period, roughly 17 percent of all clubs were in the United States. Germany followed in the list, recording almost 13 percent of all tennis clubs in the world.
