As a consequence of the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic, several businesses in the travel and tourism industry in Norway had liquidity problems. According to a survey conducted by the employers' organization NHO Reiseliv, 59 percent of surveyed nightlife companies stated to have liquidity problems as of May 10, 2021. Meanwhile, 35 percent of businesses in the hotel and accommodation sector claimed the same as of the survey period. Overall, on average, 40 percent of surveyed travel and tourism companies in Norway had difficulties paying bills as of May 10, 2021.
