Mexico: mining sector GDP 2021

In the fourth quarter of 2021, Mexico's mining gross domestic product (GDP) amounted to approximately 864.74 billion Mexican pesos, a slight increase when compared to the previous quarter of that same year. This also represents a growth of over one percent in comparison to the fourth quarter of 2020. The lowest figure within the indicated period was reported in the second quarter of 2020, as a consequence of the COVID-19 pandemic in the country. Nevertheless, the Mexican mining industry's GDP has since shown signs of recovery.
