Airbnb: YoY bookings growth in Rome 2020

Airbnb bookings in Rome, and Municipio Roma I, namely the zone including the historical center of the Italian capital, dropped significantly in 2020 due to the coronavirus pandemic. On February 2, the year-over-year (YoY) growth in Rome reached 120.6 percent, meaning that the Airbnb bookings rose by 20.6 percent compared to the same period of 2019. However, in March the number of bookings dropped sharply. The lowest figure was then recorded on April 19, 2020, when Airbnb accommodations in Rome only received 0.3 percent of bookings compared to the previous year.
