Trade balance of Japan with Australia 2014-2021
In 2021, Japan recorded a deficit in goods and service trade with Australia valued at more than four trillion Japanese yen. The Japanese trade balance with Australia remained negative in recent years, as imports exceeded the value of exports for consecutive years. Apart from fossil fuels and nonferrous metals, meats, in particular beef and veal, are major import commodities to Japan.
