Share of employees with temporary jobs in Spain 2006-2021, by age
Overall, a fourth of all job contracts in Spain were temporary as of 2021, about nine percentage points less than in 2006. However, the rate of temporary employment varied considerably across various age groups. In case of the employees from the 16-24 age group, as much as 69 percent of job contracts were temporary, a higher figure than at the beginning of the analyzed period. For those who were 35-49 years olds, this number was 21 percent.
