In a survey conducted in the Asia-Pacific region in 2021, 60 percent of respondents in both China and Hong Kong considered social media ads to not be very trustworthy. Social media advertising had the highest trust rate in India, with 16 percent of the country's respondents considering it to be very trustworthy.
