Distribution of registered cars in Turkey 2010-2022, by fuel type

In Turkey, the share of registered gasoline-powered cars declined from 42.3 percent in 2010 to 28.7 percent in 2023. Meanwhile, the share of registered diesel cars increased from 18.3 percent in 2010 to 35.6 percent by 2022. Hybrid cars started gaining popularity in the country as of 2019 and reached a 1.5 percent share in 2023.
