As of February 28th, 2021, the National Electoral Institute (INE) in Mexico recorded a total of 13,025 changes in official documents to work and vote to allign names and gender. That represents less than five percent of the total transgender population in Mexico. Mexico City had the highest number of registered changes with around 20,54 percent.
