Among the selected Latin American countries, Nicaragua had the highest rate of prepaid mobile subscribers in 2017 with 94 percent. Meanwhile, Chile featured the lowest rate of such clients with 57 percent.

Considering fixed-line internet in the region, Uruguay had the highest penetration rate during that year.
