Number of 3D films released in the United States & Canada 2012-2021
In 2021, nine 3D movies were released across the United States and Canada, up from three in the previous year. Despite the increase, the 2021 figure amounted to only one-fifth of the 45 3D productions released five years earlier, in 2016. There were more than 16 thousand digital 3D screens in the U.S. and Canada in 2020.
