This statistic illustrates the results of a survey on device preferences for internet browsing in the United Kingdom (UK) in 2015, broken down by age. In 2015, it was found that 45 percent of respondents aged 55 to 64 reported using a laptop most often for browsing the internet. The share of users, who most often use a desktop, increases sharply among those who are 45 years and older when compared to the other age groups and increses the older the group of respondents is. Young users are the most avid smartphone users with a share of 53 percent stating that they used their mobile device the most to access the net.
