This statistic shows the British public's reaction to milk price cuts in Great Britain in March 2014, according to a survey conducted by Harris Interactive. The 'milk price war' began in March 2014 as major retailers including Tesco, Morrisons and Aldi started cutting the price of 4 pint bottles of milk to 1 British pound (GBP) and under. Of survey respondents, 54 percent were concerned about farmers and an equal share believed supermarkets should lower prices on other products ahead of milk. Despite this, 58 percent interpreted the price cuts as good news.
